We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team to bring our Canobie Critter (mascots) to life! As a Canobie Critter, you’ll be spreading joy and laughter to families of all ages by roaming our Park, taking photos, and making special memories for our guests.
You’ll be responsible for performing in giant, oversized costumed that roam our midways. Characters include Molly the Mouse, Dapper the Dog, Patches the Teddy Bear, Bruno the Bear, Garrett the Parrot, Petey the Parrot, and Kimba-Sue the Kangroo. You’ll need to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout your shift to keep the fun going. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself and others while in costume.
Team Members will switch between wearing a costume and being a handler, which is escorting a Canobie Critter on any given day.
This is a physical position involving bending over, lifting, and dressing in oversized character costumes in warm conditions.
This position is part-time and seasonal (April – October).

In addition to being on of our Canobie Critters and handlers (see above for description), your responsibilities will include leading and participating in lively dance parties at designated locations throughout the Park. You will need to engage with park guests of all ages by encouraging them to join in the fun. You’ll maintain a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, keeping the energy levels high, knowing and performing general line dances, working with hula hoops and keeping the party going. This is a physical position involving bending over, lifting and working outdoors in warm temperatures.

Are you hoping to pursue a career in technical theater or teching live performances? As a Show Technician you’ll be responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of each live show throughout the park. This is a physical position involving bending over and lifting. Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all audio systems, lighting systems and video systems at the Dancehall Theater, Midway Stage and Village Stage, support all efforts needed to operate shows including stage preparation/operation/teardown and equipment preparation/operation/teardown and work in conjunction with Park Management and show producers in achieving goals set forth for design, implementation and control.

Do you like working outdoors and the thought helping our Guests enjoy our variety of live shows? Show Ushers are safety driven individuals who love Guest interaction. Show Ushers are responsible for greeting our Guests, directing Guests to available seats, organizing and operating the Meet & Greets after each performance and assisting in emergency protocols for the Dancehall Theater, Midway Stage and Village Stage. This is a physical position involving bending over & lifting. You will also ensure the smooth entry, occupancy and exit of all Guests for all live performances throughout the facility, support all efforts needed to operate shows including stage preparation/operation/teardown and equipment preparation/operation/teardown, interacting with guests as it relates to shows, and work in conjunction with Park Management and show producers in achieving goals set forth for design, implementation and control.

Costumed Team Members who perform in their assigned haunt or area during Canobie Lake Park Screeemfest. This is a physical position involving bending over and lifting. Responsibilities include scaring our Guests in our haunts or midways while performing within the guidelines of our standard operating procedures, ensure smooth entry, occupancy and exit of all guests within your assigned haunt or area and support all efforts needed to operate haunts including preparation/operation/teardown as needed. Additional responsibilities include general operation of the Park’s haunted attractions, attending and assisting the presentation and execution of various Park events both on-site and off-site and interacting with Guests to provide an outstanding experience.
